Truth & Rec

In Arts Class we have sparked some discussions about Orange Shirt Day and had meaningful conversations about Truth and Reconciliation.  Students painted orange rocks to help build up our rock circle in the Culture Camp area of our school. Some students made 4 colours to create a new circle of courage in the centre. 

Students have read books, gathered around the fire and discussed Phyllis Webstad and her Orange Shirt.  Every student in the school had an opportunity to make a little child with an orange shirt, to put around our Circle of Courage display in the school.
