West Africa

January has been a very interesting month, what with the Covid situation, the wild fluctuating temperatures, and the hustle and bustle of back to class!  This month we have had some serious fun in the Arts Ed room, getting immersed in West African Arts and Culture.  

We've been playing song games with rocks and sticks, keeping the beat on Marimbas and Djembes, dancing and singing our hearts out, stamping and weaving like Adinkra and Kente Cloth, and learning all about Anansi the Spider and his lazy, tricky ways.
